Sean ‘Eloh’ Allum

Art Director, Game Designer, Artist

Sean Allum is an art director and production lead with 17 years in game art and game design. He sets the look of a project and can take any asset to final in any format: painted in 2D, sculpted/modeled and textured in 3D, rigged and animated and optimized for games across platforms. For the last four years he has art directed a variety of projects simultaneously across companies including Sophiaverse, Hyperlux Studios, and Eloh Labs.

Before games he spent five years with Starbucks Coffee, leading the flagship Fashion Island store in Newport Beach, California. That is where he learned to run a team under pressure, keep quality consistent, and improve immersive experiences day after day and month after month.

I started my career as a game artist, but I was never particularly interested in staying inside one discipline. I wanted to understand how characters, environments, UI, animation, gameplay, and story worked together—and why some projects felt like a single world while others felt like a collection of assets.

That curiosity gradually moved me from making individual pieces of games to establishing the visual systems connecting them.

Over the past 17+ years, I’ve worked across concept art, 2D and 3D production, UI/UX, animation, game design, and creative production. I’ve built assets myself, developed art bibles and production pipelines, directed internal and external artists, and carried visual ideas from early concept through implementation.

That breadth shapes how I approach Art Direction today. I like to stay close enough to production to understand the problems artists are actually solving while keeping sight of the larger visual language of the project.

More recently, that same curiosity has taken me into generative AI and creative-tool development. I built Antigen out of problems I encountered in production: maintaining quality, correcting generated imagery, keeping workflows organized, and getting usable assets across the finish line. I see that work as an extension of Art Direction, not a replacement for the artists, judgment, and craft at the center of it.
